This website provides and supports the online professional communities of practice for New Zealand school leaders. It is a one of the collaborative communication tools of LeadSpace.
These communities provide for the strengthening of collegial support, professional dialogue and reflective practice.
The Principals Electronic Network (PEN) hosts these leadership communities.
PEN is exclusive to New Zealand school principals and their guests where principals through professional dialogue and the sharing of resources learn from the knowledge and expertise of their colleagues. All New Zealand principals have access to PEN.
First-time principals Online (FTP Online) provided support for first time principals. This community supports the First-Time principals Programme by providing opportunities for online learning, dialogue and resources.
National Aspiring Principals Pilot (NAPP) This community supports the 2008 pilot programme.
These communities are supported by the LeadSpace Facilitators.
These online professional learning communities are accessed through the eNet area of the Ministry of Educations LeadSpace http://www.leadspace.govt.nz
These online communities of practice are supported by the e-learning action plan for schools 2006–2010.
